Role Overview & Responsibilities
Geocore Site Investigations part of the RSK Group have an exciting opportunity for a Labourer/Site Technician to join our team in Redcar, UK.
Geocore are a site investigations contractor delivering work nationally and specialising in the investigation of domestic subsidence providing detailed site surveys including foundation inspections, drainage CCTV’s and Geothermal boreholes.
Responsibilities:
- Working on site under the supervision of an Engineer
- Site work including the excavation of hand pits to 1.20m
- Drilling handheld window sampling/tracked rig to obtain soil samples
- In-situ testing
- Maintaining testing and sampling equipment
- Assisting with related site operations including collections and deliveries
- Liaising with Clients, other contractors and members of the public on site.
- Organising and carrying out their work in an efficient and timely manner
Desired experience:
- Previous experience of site work, and/or work in a technical field an advantage
- Good written and communication skills
- Basic level of communication
- A minimum of GCSE grade C in Maths, English and Science
- Prepared to work as part of a team or as an individual
- Full, clean driving licence essential, towing licence an advantage
Salary and benefits:
- £28,528 per annum based on a 47.5hr working week
