Role Overview & Responsibilities
Join our team as a HGV Class 2 Driver based from our Sherburn in Elmet (LS25).
Your working hours for this position will be Wednesday to Sunday on a 40 hour contract. Overtime at time and a third after 40 hours.
Nights out required (Night out allowance given)
Depot based in Sherburn in Elmet LS25 6NA (must be able to travel here every day when on shift)

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the safe, efficient and economic driving of our vehicles.
- Extremely customer focused and comfortable speaking to new people acting as the face of our online kitchen company.
- Ensuring loads arrive on time and in good condition.
- Responsible for safety and legal compliance of your vehicle, e.g. checks to ensure weight and load distribution complies with axle and gross weight guidance and that your loads are secure.
- Ensuring good communication - Informing transport management of any delays, accidents, breakdowns or discrepancies.
- Maintaining a clean and tidy vehicle and reporting damages made by yourself or other drivers.
- Flexibility to working hours and overtime as this job will require overnight stays, weekend work and will require you to varied hours.
- You will be assigned a drivers mate that will also stay in the cab with you and help unloading items off the van. First night is required to sleep in the cab, any following nights out you have a hotel room paid for by the company.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- With at least 1 years’ HGV Class 2 driving experience and a licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Will have successfully completed the 35 hours periodic CPC training.
- Valid Digi Card (Tacho) - Training in the use of digital tachographs would also be useful but not essential.
- A positive and flexible approach towards team ethic.
- Diligent, organised and with a good eye for detail.
- Accurately managing all your documentation, ensuring it is completed and submitted correctly and on time.
- No Drink/Drug Driving offences in the last 10 years
