Our amazing #TeamSunnybank in Aberdeen are now on the lookout for caring, compassionate and flexible colleagues to join them as Support Practitioners on a permanent (30 hours per week) basis.

The Role

You'll become part of a friendly, dedicated, fun team who supports three gentlemen and one lady with complex learning and physical disabilities who live in their own shared home. The great thing about this job is no two days are ever the same.

Your main aim will be supporting each individual with their day to day needs, including personal care, shopping, finances, cooking, housework and medication. You'll also support with each individual's hobbies and interests too, including music, films, in-house activities, going for walks, day trips, the cinema, swimming, discos and arts & crafts.

About You

You don't need experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferrable skills. However, as the individuals we support have barriers to communication, we will need you to bring an excellent grasp and understanding of the English language.

We'll pay you for your training and will give you all the practical skills you'll need. We'll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification too!

All we’ll need you to bring is: -

  • A caring and compassionate attitude
  • The ability to work well in a team
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Confidence in the use of computers

Shift Patterns

As we're dedicated to providing around the clock support tailored to the needs of each individual, shift patterns do include early mornings, days, evenings, sleepovers, weekends and public holidays, so we will need you to be flexible.

Typically, you will work 2-4 sleepovers per month. Our sleepovers don't form part of your contracted hours meaning you will receive an additional payment of £87 for each sleepover that you work!

Sound interesting? What are you waiting for? Apply today, we can't wait to hear from you!

We are looking to fill these vacancies as soon as possible and reserve the right to close our advert early if we find suitable candidates before the closing date. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.
