Role Overview & Responsibilities
BCUHB AMH Clinical Psychology are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified Clinical Psychologist/ Practitioner Psychologist, to be based and work in Wrexham CMHT. This is a permanent position, and the post holder will work as part of integrated secondary mental health services for adults who have complex and severe mental health needs. The post holder will be expected to integrate well and co-work with their CMHT colleagues, providing specialist psychological knowledge and expertise to the team. As well as providing direct clinical input to clients, this will also involve working through others by training, supervision, and formulation work. It will also involve attendance at clinical MDT meetings, referral meetings (SPOA), and CMHT business meetings, and clinical leadership.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
- To be an active and integrated member of the multidisciplinary community mental health team (CMHT).
- Provide leadership on psychological knowledge and approaches for the CMHT, in collaboration with the Head of Adult Mental Health Clinical Psychology.
- To carry a specialist psychology caseload of adult mental health clients referred to the CMHT.
- Take an active part in CMHT business, attending weekly CMHT SPOAA and clinical meetings.
- To provide day to day clinical supervision for any attached Assistant Psychologists and Clinical Psychology Trainees.
- To undertake research and development activities, lecturing, multidisciplinary advice, consultation and training.
