Shift Technician - Mechanical

Role Overview & Responsibilities

<b>Purpose of function/ main tasks:</b><br>

The position will report to the Module Leader, with overall responsibility being with the Shift Supervisor

<br><br>

Set-up, running and maintenance of high speed production machinery

<br><br>

Working to achieve company objectives, in line with general production duties, with regard to:

<br>Health & Safety

<br>Quality

<br>Efficiency and Spoilage targets

<br>Operating production machinery

<br>Work as part of a team

<br>Trouble shooting and problem solving

<br>Operation of semi-automatic bagging stations

<br><br>

Working to Company/Plant Standard Operating Procedures

<br><br>

<b>Professional Requirements:</b><br>

<b>

Education Level:</b> HNC/HND / Time-served Apprenticeship or Equivalent in Mechanical Engineering

<br><br>

Experienced in operating and maintaining automated production machinery within a fast speed, high volume manufacturing environment

<br><br>

Ability to trouble shoot and problem solve

<br><br>

A flexible approach to work content in-line with day to day requirements

<br><br>

A willingness to extend your range of required skills is essential

<br><br>

Evidence of self-motivation, an ability to use your own initiative and to accept a level of responsibility

<br><br>

Basic computer skills as some information systems based tasks will also be involved (full training will be given).

<br><br>

<b>Shift Pattern:</b><br>

4 on / 4 off 12 hours shifts in a fast paced Production environment

<br><br>

<b>Package:</b><br>

<b>Salary circa:</b> £51,000 per annum
