FARM LABOURER

Absolute Recruitment are looking for candidates to work at one of their well-established clients based across Cheshire East and Cheshire West, at various sites between Nantwich and Tarporley.

As a Poultry Farm Worker, you will need to;

• Be physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting of circa 15-20kg, the role is and will be physically demanding.
• Have your own transport, you will be expected to travel to the various farms depending on their requirements.
• Experience is not required as full training will be given, the successful applicant will be instructed and trained in poultry husbandry skills, but any experience of working outdoors would be advantageous.
• You must shower on arrival to site and before you leave site, this includes a full wash of body and hair, shampoo and shower gel is provided.

The role will include, but is not limited to;

• Turkey Handling (The Turkeys are not aggressive, they are docile and used to being handled).
• General husbandry and Maintenance, including; feeding, checking watering systems, weighing birds, collecting and grading of the eggs collected, monitoring bird welfare/behaviour, bio-security protocols and general farm maintenance.

This position will be come permanent for the right candidate. The working hours are Monday to Friday 07:00am to 3:30/4.00pm, you will be required to work 6 days out of the 7 including either Saturday or Sunday. Overtime is paid x1.3, all weekday hours over 8 per day are paid at overtime and all weekend hours are paid at overtime irrespective of hours worked during the weekday hours.
